Share the characteristics of pure cotton fabric!

2025-10-13

Pure cotton fabrichas excellent moisture absorption properties. Under normal conditions, pure Cotton Fabric can absorb moisture from the surrounding atmosphere, with a moisture content of 8-10%. Therefore, when it comes into contact with human skin, it feels soft and not stiff. The main characteristics are as follows:

Hygroscopicity: If the humidity of cotton fabric increases and the surrounding temperature is high, the water content in the fibers will evaporate completely, allowing the fabric to maintain a state of water balance and providing a comfortable feeling.

    Moisturizing property

Since cotton fibers are poor conductors of heat and electricity, with an extremely low thermal conductivity, and due to their porous nature, a large amount of air can be trapped between the fibers, and air is also a poor conductor of heat and electricity, pure cotton fiber textiles exhibit excellent moisture retention properties. Wearing clothing made of pure cotton fabric makes people feel warm.

    Heat resistance

Pure cotton fabrics have good heat resistance. When exposed to temperatures below 110°C, they only cause evaporation of moisture on the fabric without damaging the fibers. Therefore, wearing, using, washing, and dyeing pure cotton fabrics at room temperature have no impact on the fabric, thereby enhancing its washability, durability, and wearability.

    Alkali resistance

Cotton fibers exhibit strong resistance to alkali. When immersed in an alkaline solution, the fibers remain intact, a property that facilitates the washing and disinfection of contaminants after use. Additionally, it allows for the dyeing, printing, and various other processing techniques on pure Cotton Textiles, resulting in the creation of new cotton fabric varieties.

    Hygienic quality

Cotton fiber is a natural fiber, primarily composed of cellulose, along with minor amounts of waxy substances, nitrogen compounds, and pectin. Pure cotton fabric has undergone extensive testing and practical application, and has been proven to be non-irritating and non-toxic when in contact with the skin. Prolonged wear is beneficial rather than harmful to the human body, and it exhibits good hygienic properties.
